- Why is the difference not what I expected?
- It changes with the date. The two places usually start and end daylight saving on different days, so the same pair can be an hour apart in January and another hour apart in July. The fixed-date mode calculates it for the day you choose.
- Why can some moments not be converted?
- When daylight saving starts, local clocks jump forward and a stretch of local time never happens. For that input the page says which interval was skipped instead of returning a plausible but wrong answer.
- Will a shared link show the same thing to someone else?
- Yes. The cities and the date and time live in the query string, so the same conversion comes back. In live mode the clocks are recalculated for the moment the other person opens it.
